COERCE 

Meaning: Persuade to do something by using force or threats.

Synonyms: Compel, force, constrain.

Usage:
1) As the students argued, the teacher tried to coerce them into silence with the threat of detention.
2) The bully tried to coerce the small kids into giving him their lunch money.
3) It is against the law for someone to coerce you into giving away your belongings.
4) If someone tries to coerce you into committing a crime, you should immediately call the police.
