Meaning:  A religious or solemn ceremony consisting of a series of actions performed according to a prescribed order.
 
Synonyms: custom, tradition, routine, convention.

Antonyms: Discord, neglect, difference, disagreement.

Usage:
1)It had an absurd ritual and a strange uniform.
2) It was a ritual they had been performing morning and night for the past two weeks.
