EGALITARIAN
Meaning: Believing in that all people are equal and deserve equal rights.
Synonyms: democratic, equalitarian.
Antonyms: undemocratic, aristocratic.
Usage
1) Before new law granted all citizens equal rights, our country was not an egalitarian nation.
2) The dictator laughed at the priest’s egalitarian ideas and refused to believe all people were equal.
3) The law was written to impose the egalitarian principle that men and women should be treated as equals.
