Meaning: The treatment of serious matter with humor.

Synonyms: vivacity, conviviality, hilarity.

Antonyms: seriousness, soberness.

Usage
1) After battles some soldiers try and add levity to their days by telling jokes around the campfire.
2) Himesh’s parents were serious people who did not seem to appreciate his acts of levity during church service,
3) If you look at your problems with levity and do not take them too seriously, ypu will find it easier to manage your troubles.
